Supplementary Polls:Nigeria Police Boss, Adamu Warns Politicians Against Ballot Box Snatching And Vote Buying

The acting military officer of Police, Mr prophet Adamu, has cautioned politicians against undermining the electoral method throughout the supplementary elections holding in some states.
In a series of tweets by the police yesterday, he warned politicians to not have interaction in untoward practices like snatching of ballot boxes, vote-buying and violence, among others.
Naija News Understands that the police boss aforementioned somebody or cluster found blameable in any act of electoral malpractice would be created to face the total consequences of the law.
As a part of measures to confirm a hitch-free exercise, Mr Adamu directed the Zonal Assistant Inspectors General of Police (AIG) and their individual Commissioners of Police (CPs) in states wherever supplementary elections were going down to confirm that adequate mechanisms were in situ.

To any strengthen the safety arrangements, the IGP deployed 5 Deputy Inspectors General of Police (DIGs), three AIGs, fifteen extra cycle to produce supervising, direction and support to the present security structure already in situ in those states.
The DIGs deployed embody Usman Abubakar – Adamawa, Yakubu Jubrin – Benue, Taiwo Lakanu – highland, Anthony archangel – Kano, and Godwin Nwobodo – Bauchi State. Out of the fifteen extra cycle deployed, 3 every were deployed in Benue and Sokoto States, whereas 2 every were deployed in Adamawa, Bauchi, Kano and highland States. On the opposite hand, IMO State got one commissioner.
The IGP counseled the officers for his or her sterling performances within the previous elections.

The police boss urged the general public to work with security operatives, disclosed that a complete of 796 suspects were in remission for numerous electoral offences across the state.
